Young Professionals

Welcome to our Young Professionals Division page. The division is comprised of graduate students, recent college graduates, and professionals who are beginning their careers in the pulp, paper, packaging, tissue and related forest products industries. The division provides a wide range of products, services, and educational opportunities, as well as a means for experiencing different professional areas, resources for career advancement and the chance to interact with peers and industry professionals. The Young Professionals Division promotes the future of our industry by recognizing the creativity of this young generation of driven and innovative minds as well as encouraging them to become more personally involved in the industry.

Each year, the Young Professionals Division is proud to present awards to deserving Young Professionals. The award recognizes emerging leaders in the pulp, paper, packaging, tissue, and related forest products industries. The winners are announced in the Summer/Fall issue of Paper360 as well as throughout the year at TAPPI events, in various electronic publications and online and are also invited to attend their division specific TAPPI conference during their award year to receive recognition and receive one free year of TAPPI membership. For more information on this award and deadlines, please contact  yp@tappi.org

The Technical Committees of the Young Professionals Division work together throughout the year to solve problems, develop technical papers, plan conference sessions, and more.

We are proud to provide  TAPPI Connect as a centralized, online resource for our members, consultants and volunteers to network, share knowledge, problem solve and collaborate.

 

TAPPI Selects Outstanding Young Professionals for 2018

TAPPI is pleased to announce the selections for this year's Young Professionals of the Year awards.  The contest recognizes aspiring young leaders in the paper, packaging, tissue and related industries. Eligible nominees can be up to age 35 with no more than 10 years of industry experience.

TAPPI is pleased to announce the selections for the 2017 Outstanding Young Professionals Awards.  The contest recognizes aspiring, young leaders in the paper, packaging, tissue and related industries. Eligible nominees can be up to age 35 with 5-10 years of industry experience.
