Nanocellulose in the Formulation of Emulsions and Formulation-Composition Maps

Cellulose nanofibrils (CNF) and naocrystals (CNC) are high aspect nanomaterials that can form structured networks. Taking advantage of this property, I will introduce novel approaches to wood deconstruction for the development of CNF and CNC. They mainly consist of microemulsions with super-solubilizing power and ultralow interfacial tension. Further, the unique properties of fluid multiphase systems will be exploited in the synthesis of various types of emulsions.
